The Current Scene: In this category, we are looking for informal, short opinion pieces concerning the current teaching scene in Japan.
For example, articles in this category might address issues such as current hiring practices at private junior high and high schools, junior colleges and universities, predictions about the EFL market in Japan, trends in teaching techniques, or any other opinion piece about the general teaching market here.
These articles should be between 750-1,500 words and may be written using informal prose.
All articles submitted will be read by several referees, and at least one article for each section will be chosen for each quartery issue.
Articles should be sent as MS Word attachments to teachertalk@teachinginjapan.com
The Word attachment should also include your name, address, institution, length of time in Japan and a one paragraph biography. We may ask for a digital photograph from those whose articles are selected for our first quarterly journal.
